


The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Cyril “Cy” Heid, age 86 of Luxemburg, will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, January 3 at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Catholic Church in St. Augusta. Burial will be in the St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery in Luxemburg. There will be a visitation from 4-9:00 PM Wednesday, January 2 and again after 9:30 AM Thursday at the church in St. Augusta. St. Mary Help of Christian’s parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes, St. CloudCy was born August 3, 1926 in St Cloud to Killian and Theresa (Lommel) Heid. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1950 – 1952. Cy married Delores Salzbrun at St. Mary’s Cathedral in 1959. He worked at Franklin Manufacturing (now Electrolux) for over 25 years, retiring in 1990. He worked on the family farm his entire life, which has been in the Heid family name for 150 years. He was a life member of the VFW Granite Post 428, Waite Park American Legion Post 428, Catholic Aid Men’s Society, and an Apostolate of Crosier Seminary. Cy is survived by his wife, Delores, Luxemburg, his children, David Heid, Kimball; Daniel (Dena) Heid, Thorton, CO; Tom (Connie) Heid, New Prague; Chuck (Kari) Heid, Dover; Nancy (Francis) Kettner, St. Augusta; sisters, Laveren Zieglemeir, St. Cloud; Darlene Heid, St. Cloud; sister-in-law, Alice Heid, Waite Park, 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ron Heid.
