June 16, 1935 – April 3, 2010Services celebrating the life of Margie A. Lemke, age 74 of Albany, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, April
6th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farming. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Church cemetery. Margie died Saturday at the Albany Area Hospital. There will be a visitation from 4-9:00 PM Monday at the
Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany and again after 12:00 PM Tuesday at the church.Margie (Klimmek) Lemke was born June 16, 1935 in Krain Township. She grew up in the Albany
area and worked at Jennie-O in Melrose. She married Benjamin Lemke in January of 1957. The
couple farmed together. Margie was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.Margie is survived by her children; Lois Thelen, Albany; Donald Lemke, Albany; Mike (Julie) Lemke,
St. Anna and Carl Lemke, Albany. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Amanda Thelen, Ben
Thelen, Bobby Thelen, Jacob Lemke and Tyler Lemke.Margie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Benjamin in 1981, her son-in-law, Terry
Thelen and her brothers and sisters.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughs and prayers go out to the family.
My brother Tim and Lois were babies together barely a few months apart when we celebrated the birth of these two children at the Lemke Farm, in 1958. It was the first time I actuall saw a draft horse, a straw stack. My Uncle howard challenged a rooster with a folding chair and we sampled some dandelion wine. These were simpler times in life.
