


Norbert was born in Millwood Twsp., Freeport to Frank & Mary (Michael) Goebel. He married
Theresa Sand on May 23, 1939 in St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony. Norbert farmed all
of his life and it was obvious his holstein cattle were one of his great loves and passion. Norbert
enjoyed croquet, playing cards, & square dancing for over 25 years. Norbert was a member of
the Albany Knights of Columbus, Holy Name Society, Poor Souls Society, Catholic Aid Society
& St. Anthony Catholic Church in which he was a trustee for many years.Norbert is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Theresa, Albany; children, MaryAnn (LeRoy)
Vos, Vernon (Maxine), Elmer (Kathleen), Linus, all of Albany; Janice (Don) Warner, St. Joe; 12
grandchildren, & 25 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Alvin & Charlie, grandchildren, Danie Lynn
Goebel & Brenda Goebel, & siblings, Ben, Catherine Spieker, Elizabeth Clasemann, George,
William, Rosina Fabeck Reller, & Robert.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 2 until 9 PM at the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Albany and again from 9 until 10:30 on Wednesday November 10th.
