Ana died in Minneapolis on January 26, 2013 of complications of lupus. She was born on October 27th, 1983 in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Ana is survived by her parents Gary and Barbara Strandemo, St. Cloud; her sister Rosa Strandemo, St. Paul; her grandmothers Ruth Lund, Bloomington and Sid Strandemo, Kenyon, her boyfriend Foster Simmonds Jr., Minneapolis and many other family members and friends who loved her. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Arnold Lund and Raymond Strandemo.Ana graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 2002. She attended Macalester College in St. Paul from 2002-2004, and Augsburg College from 2010-2012 where she graduated with a degree in Psychology. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, her creative and complex mind, her insightful wisdom, her love of animals and music, her artistic skills, her appreciation of her Guatemalan heritage and her dimples.A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Ana will be 12PM, Saturday, February 2nd at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud. A visitation will precede the service at 11am. Pastor Darius Larsen will officiate. There will also be a visitation from 5-9 PM, Friday, February 1st at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. A time of sharing will start at 7pm. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Common Hope, an organization providing services to children and families in Guatemala, the National Kidney Foundation or the Tri-County Humane Society.

Visitation Details
There will be a visitation from 5-9PM, Friday, February 1st 2013 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. There will be a time of sharing service that starts at 7PM Friday evening. There will be a gathering time prior to the service Saturday morning at the church from 11-12PM.
