Arlie Marie (Richard) James

Age: 79 April 15, 1934 – February 25, 2014 Funeral Services celebrating the life of Arlie Marie(Richards) James, age 79 of Columbia Heights will take place at 2PM Friday, February 28, 2014 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Chapel in St. Cloud.  Pastor Janine Olson will officiate and a private family burial will take place at a later date at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Maple Grove.  Arlie died peacefully Tuesday evening at Unity Hospital in Fridley with her family by her side.  There will be a gathering prior to the service on Friday from 12-2PM at the funeral home in St. Cloud.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.Arlie was born April 15, 1934 in Sartell to Ray and Lena (Wagner) Richards.  She married Pat James on January 12, 1957 in Minneapolis but later was divorced.  She grew up in the St. Cloud area, and after graduating high school moved to the cities where she lived the rest of her life.   In life, she had a passion for music which was shown through her love of playing the piano.  Arlie worked as a medical secretary for Allina for many years before eventually retiring in 2002.Arlie is survived by her children Julie (Mark) Rocheleau, Coon Rapids; Kelly James, St. Peter; Mike (Mary) James, San Jose, CA; Paul James, Ramsey; her grandchildren Douglas, Joelle, Dan, Josh, Jessica, Mike Jr., Zach, Alicia, Don Jr., Ryan, Maggie, and Ricky; her step-grandchildren Justin, Albert, and Sarah; her great-grandchildren Kalissa, Alexis, Emma, Amelia, Alexander, Aubrey, Liberty, Hailey, and Braden; her siblings Marion (James) Miller, St. Cloud; and Delbert Richards, Sauk Rapids.She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Lena Richards, her son Don James, and her siblings Vern Richards, Betty Richards, Dale Richards, Dick Richards, Vi Richards, and an infant brother Albert.
