Age: 95 October 19, 1917 – September 14, 2013 Services celebrating the life of Arnold Miller, age 95 of Waite Park, will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 19 at the First United Methodist Church; 1107 Pinecone Road, Sartell.  Burial will be in North Star Cemetery.  Arnold died Saturday at the Sterling Park Health Care Center in Waite Park.  There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Wednesday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 9:30 AM Thursday at the church.Arnold was born October 19, 1917 in Roseau, MN to Henry and Minnie (Landowski) Miller.  He moved to Waite Park as a child.  He married Esther Hoyer on November 30, 1939 in the Waite Park Methodist Church.  Arnold worked for the Great Northern Railroad and then Burlington Northern Railroad in the Waite Park Car Shops for more than 40 years.  He held various positions there, including welder and Lead man.  He retired in 1978.  He was a member of the National Association of Retired Veteran Railroad Employees.  He was also the Secretary/Treasurer of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America and he was Chairman of the local chapter. He was a member of the Waite Park Fire Department for 20 years and the Waite Park Rescue Squad.  Arnold was a member of the First United Methodist Church.Arnold is survived by his children, Nancy (Jerry) Murch, Roseville and Rick (Laurel) Miller, Waite Park.  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and sister, Elsie Garrison, Dumfries, VA.He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Esther Miller on September 29, 2002 and his sisters and brothers, Francis Kampa, Hazel Todd, Raymond Miller and Ernest Miller.
