Age: 46 March 19, 1965 – January 20, 2012 Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Carol Jean Mettenburg-Pankratz, age 46 of St. Cloud will be 11 AM, Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  Father Matthew Crane will officiate, and burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery after the service.  Carol died peacefully at St. Benedicts surrounded by her family after a long and tough fight with cancer.  There will be a visitation from 4-8 PM, Wednesday, January 25th at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud, and again from 10 AM until the time of the service on Thursday at the church.  Parish prayers will be at 4:30pm on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.Carol was born March, 19, 1965 to Roger and Dolores (Inderienden) Mettenburg in St. Cloud.  After graduating from Cathedral High School, Carol worked in the billing department for Health Partners.  She lived her entire life in the St. Cloud area.  Carol was an avid Minnesota sports fan.  To relax, she greatly enjoyed her time cross stitching and reading.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.Carol is survived by her daughters Brittney Pankratz, Minneapolis; Katie Pankratz, St. Cloud; her father Roger Mettenburg, St. Cloud; and her siblings Bill (Marci) Mettenburg, St. Joseph; Jane Mettenburg, St. Cloud; Ann (Harland) Donnay, Kimball; Rob (Corinne) Mettenburg, Sauk Centre; and many nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her mother Dolores Mettenburg, and her sister Gayle Mettenburg.Remember me with smiles and laughter because that’s the way I will remember you.  If you can only remember me with tears and sorrow, I wish you would not remember me at all.
