The Celebration of Life for Chad Richard Eickhoff, age 40 of St. Cloud, memorial service will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Friday, April 4th, 2025, at Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany, MN, and the Celebration of Life will follow from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Holdingford Legion. Chad passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
Chad was born on September 13, 1984, at Saint Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota to Richard and Sharon (Sather) Eickhoff. Chad was raised in Holdingford, MN with strong values—hard work, compassion, and the importance of showing up for the people you love. Those values defined the way he lived his life.
On October 8, 2022, after 3 years of blending their families, Chad married his best friend and soulmate, Stephanie Mackedanz. Their love was filled with laughter, adventure, and the kind of partnership that you wait your whole life to find. Together, they built a home filled with joy, and the wonderful chaos of raising their two incredible children, Lincoln & McKenna. Chad was the kind of dad who turned everyday moments into memories—teaching the kids skills he held, cracking jokes that made his kids roll their eyes and laugh at the same time, and always making sure they knew how deeply they were loved.
Chad Richard Eickhoff was the kind of person who made life brighter just by being in it. He was a devoted husband and father, a fierce and loyal friend, and a loving son and brother. His love of music, his quick-witted puns, and his boundless generosity made him unforgettable. If you knew Chad, you knew laughter, kindness, and what it meant to have someone truly in your corner. Chad’s love of music was a part of who he was, and it had a way of bringing people together. Whether he was introducing someone to a new song, singing along at full volume, or shredding his guitar, music was his language, his escape, and his way of connecting with the world.
He had a heart bigger than most and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. His selflessness was a trait that inspired others. If you needed help, Chad was there, no questions asked. And if you needed a smile? His goofy personality kept you laughing. No matter the situation, Chad had a way of finding the humor, lifting the mood, and making sure everyone around him felt they could be exactly who they are.
Chad worked in sales at Cintas, but his real job—the one that mattered most—was being a husband, a father, a friend, a brother, a son, and a person who made the world a little better just by being himself.
He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie; his children, Lincoln (10) & Mckenna (11) of St. Cloud; his parents, Richard and Sharon (Sather) Eickhoff of Albany, MN; his brothers, Jeff and Michael of Richmond, MN; his mother and father-in-law, Greg and Doreen Mackedanz of St. Cloud, MN; and his sister and brother-in-law, Jenna and Joshua of St. Cloud, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, whom he always spoke of with love and gratitude.
Chad lived with his whole heart, and he leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever. His legacy is love—the kind that doesn’t fade, the kind that stays with you always. Though his time here was far too short, his impact will last forever.
