Age: 87 January 22, 1926 – April 11, 2013 Memorial services celebrating the life of Christine Rose Wagar, 87, of Buffalo, formerly of Holdingford, will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Church of All Saints – St. Mary in Holdingford. Father John Paul Knopik will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Christine passed away on the evening of April 11. There will be a visitation after 10:00 AM Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Church of All Saints – St. Mary in Holdingford. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Holdingford.Christine was born on January 22, 1926 to Simon and Margaret (Liebsch) Ebnet in Holdingford. She grew up there alongside her seven siblings and graduated high school in 1944. Shortly after, she married Ralph Mader and together they raised five children. Christine enjoyed playing cards, reading, and being involved in Marriage Encounter with Ralph before he passed away. She loved crafting, especially beading and plastic canvas work. In 2002, Christine re-married Austin Wagar and lived with him in Worthington where she made great friends. She was always very active in the community she lived in. Christine belonged to the Lionesses, Christian Mothers, the Women of Today, and was a member of the Church of All Saints – St. Mary in Holdingford.Christine is survived by her children Betty George, Apache Junction, AZ; Bonnie (David) Stromberg, Monticello; Bruce (Kim) Mader, El Cajon, CA; Brian (Michelle) Mader, Holdingford; her stepchildren Wayne Wagar; Bruce Wagar; Ronald Wagar; her daughter-in-law Mary Mader, Sartell; her siblings Frances Breth, Holdingford; Helen Root, Brainerd; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.She is preceded in death by her husbands Ralph Mader in 1995 and Austin Wagar in 2012; her parents Margaret and Simon Ebnet; her son Bob Mader; and her siblings Victor Ebnet, Bernard Ebnet, Norbert Ebnet, Lawrence Ebnet, and Bernadine Wensman. Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
