Clara Barbara Klimek

Age: 94 July 08, 1918 – July 04, 2013 The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Clara Klimmek, age 94 of Holdingford, will be 11:00 AM, July 9, at All Saints, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Clara, four days shy of her 95th birthday, passed away at her son’s home in Cold Spring, Minnesota. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Monday and again after 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Holdingford. All Saints St Mary’s parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.Clara was born July 8th, 1918 in Albany, Minnesota, to Matt and Agnes (Kuper) Heinen. She grew up in Albany and married Reuben Klimmek on April 26th, 1941. The couple moved to a farm near Holdingford. Clara spent many years farming with her husband and raising their four children; she also worked as a cook at St. John University. Clara was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Holdingford, she was also active in the Christian Mother’s, St. Rita’s Mission, and the Senior Citizens Group. Clara is survived by her children; Larry Klimmek, Cold Spring; Jean Goebel, St. Cloud; Janet (Doug) Paulsen, Phoenix, Arizona; daughter-in-law, Dori Klimmek, St. Cloud; sister Helen Scepaniak, Albany; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, husband Reuben Klimmek, son Lloyd Klimmek, grandson Joe Goebel, granddaughter Connie Sue, great granddaughter Stephanie Hommerding. Also, preceding her in death were her sisters Mary Bloch , Elizabeth Miller, and Theresa Ewertowsky, and her brothers Barney Heinen, Matt Heinen, Herman Heinen, Tony Heinen, and Andrew Heinen.
