Age: 80 May 11, 1930 – February 22, 2011 CLARE GROETSCHMay 11, 1930 – February 22, 2011The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Clare Goretsch, age 80, of Avon, will be 11:00 AM Friday, February 25 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Clare died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Friends may gather from 4-8:00 PM Thursday and again after 10:00 AM Friday at the Seven Dolors Gathering Space. Seven Dolors parish prayers will be at 4:30 PM Thursday at the gathering space. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.Clare was born May 11, 1930 in New Orleans, LA to Robert and Lena (Bose) McGee. She married Walter H. Groetsch March 28, 1949. The couple lived in New Orleans, LA, Atlanta, GA, Rocky Mount, N.C., St. Paul, MN, Hanover Park, IL, South Bend, ID, Greenwood, ID and retired to Avon, MN in 1984. Clare enjoyed crocheting, quilting and being with her family. She is a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church.Clare is survived by her husband, Walter., Avon; her children; Deborah Groetsch, Avon; Cynthia (Ivan) Groetsch-Johansen, Palm City, FL; Wade (Tina) Groetsch, Winter Haven, FL and Melissa Groetsch, Dallas, TX. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Clare was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Robert McGee; daughter Dolleen Hvarre, grandson, Todd Gerads and great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Pundsack.
