Mass of Christian Burial for Dale Anthony Henkel, age 64 of St. Augusta, MN will be on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Luxemburg, MN. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 4-7 PM at Mary Hall of St. Wendelin Church, Luxemburg, MN. Also one hour prior to Mass on Friday.
Dale passed away at his home on June 3, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Arrangements by Miller-Carlin Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Dale Anthony Henkel was born on June 20, 1959, in St. Cloud to Alphonse and Olivia Henkel. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his Loving Wife and some Family members. He graduated from Tech High School in 1977. He was united in Marriage to Susan Mock on October 21, 2000. He was a Member of St. Wendelin’s Parish.
He loved the outdoors, he loved to deer hunt and fish, garden, and play ball. He loved to play cards, darts, bowl, hockey, and football. He loved to watch the Minnesota Twins and the Minnesota Wild on TV. He also loved to cook, bake, and can vegetables from the garden. His most popular thing was his homemade dill pickles. At one time he had made about 498 jars of dill pickles for Employees at the St. Cloud Hospital. He also enjoyed time with Family and Friends. Dale was very active in the Luxemburg Family Softball and Little League Tournaments every year until he just couldn’t do it anymore. He would also work at these events from early morning till the last person would leave at night. The Ballpark was his life.
Dale was always a hard worker. He worked a variety of jobs but ended up working for Northland Concrete out of Bloomington, Minnesota, until he got hurt on the job in 2001.
Dale is survived by his wife, Susan of 23 years. Two Stepdaughters, Karrie Mock, and Karla Thelen. Two Daughters, Danielle Henkel, and Cheryl (Jeremy Fuchs) Henkel. Sisters and Brothers, LeAnn (Donald) Reiland, Chuck (Barb) Henkel, Jim (Pat) Henkel, Larry (Rosie) Henkel, Bruce (Berit) Henkel, Ron (Mindi) Henkel, and Mary Kay (John) Wicker. 8 Grandchildren, Anthony Mock, Ariel Davis, Reed Thelen, Michael Franklin Jr, Ashley Franklin, Kylie Fuchs, Kendra Fuchs, and Jax Fuchs. 2 Great-Grandchildren, Aeson Greybull, Alanzo Rodredigos. Many Nieces and Nephews. He will be missed.
He was preceded in Death by his Parents and Grandparents.
