An open house, celebrating the life of David W. Schneider, age 82 of Holdingford, will be 5 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, May 11, the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Holdingford.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery on Wednesday, May 12 at noon.

David was born December 5, 1938 in St. Cloud to Hubert and Rose Schneider.  He grew up in Waite Park, where he farmed with his family on the land currently occupied by Mills Fleet Farm.  He married Patricia Rassier on December 6, 1969 in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waite Park.  The couple purchased their own farm and moved to Holdingford in 1971. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. David found great joy and fulfillment in his many years of farming and cherished spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends

David is survived by his wife, Patricia Schneider, Holdingford; his children, Melissa Stern, Sauk Rapids; Troy Schneider, Holdingford; Tina (Matt) Tschann, Albany; Jamie Schneider, Holdingford; Amy (Kurt) Massmann, Paynesville; April Berg, Eden Valley; Jennifer (Tom) Strandberg, Holdingford and nine grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, 8 brothers and sisters and granddaughter, Chantel Stern.
