Age: 82 August 17, 1929 – September 24, 2011 St. Cloud artist (Mary) Diane Woit, 82, passed away of ovarian cancer on Saturday, September 24, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.  Diane was born August 17, 1929 and grew up in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, third child of hotel proprietors Marjorie and Ben Minten.  After graduating from the University of Wisconsin (1950) with a degree in Applied Arts, Diane married her sweetheart Jerry Woit, and began a life filled with children and grandchildren, watercolor painting, teaching and great parties with wonderful friends.The family lived in Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls and Racine, WI. Minneapolis, MN, Redondo Beach, CA and St. Cloud MN.  Diane taught art at all levels in public and parochial schools, adult education and Whitney Senior Center.Diane is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jerome, St. Cloud; her children; Steven Anthony Woit, Edina, MN; Ellen Marie Woit, Coon Rapids, MN; Mary Margaret Rogness, Big Lake, MN; Peter David Woit, Carlos, MN; her grandchildren, Ben Woit, Claire Woit, Andy Woit, Erik Rogness, Lucas Rogness, Kiersten Rogness, and Kelsey Rogness.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Marjorie and Benedict, her brother Curtis Minten and sister, Joyce Otzelberger.The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Diane will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 28th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Visitation will be at the church from 4-8:00 PM Tuesday with parish prayers at 7:00 PM and visitation again one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice Program or arts program of the donors choice.
