Dolores L. Ramler

Age: 88 January 26, 1924 – September 03, 2012 Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Dolores Louise Ramler, age 88 of Albany will be 11AM, Saturday, September 8th, 2012 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany.  Father Michael Naughton O.S.B. will officiate, and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service.  Dolores died peacefully at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany Monday afternoon surrounded by her family.  There will be a visitation at Seven Dolors Catholic Church Friday evening from 4 to 8PM and again from 10AM until the time of the service Saturday morning once again at the church.  Parish prayers will take place at 4PM followed by the Christian Mothers praying the rosary at 5PM  Friday evening at the church.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Albany.Dolores was born January 26th, 1924 to Frank and Laura (Gresser) Habermann in St. Anthony.  She married Ambrose Ramler on June 2nd, 1945 in St. Anthony.  She lived nearly her entire life in the Albany area where she not only worked as a mother and home-maker raising her five children but also worked for the family operated Ramler Trucking business as the book-keeper.  Dolores often volunteered with the Albany Senior Center, the Meals on Wheels program, Mother Seton, and worked many years as a cook for annual church bazaars.  Dolores was a member of the Nursing Home Auxiliary, Albany Legion Auxiliary, and the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary.  She was a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany where she was also an active member of the Christian Mothers Dolores is survived by her children Genell (Larry) Carter, Maple Lake; Laura (Joe) Backes, Spicer; Linda (Dave) Finken, Upsala; Jack (Doris) Ramler, Albany; Greg (Sue) Ramler, Albany; her ten grandchildren, her twenty one great-grandchildren, her siblings Donald Haberaman, CT; and Lucille (Ralph) Goenner, Clear Lake.She is preceded in death by her mother and father Frank and Laura Habermann, her husband Ambrose Ramler who passed in 1994, her son Leon Ramler who passed at the age of 8, her brother Herbert Habermann, and her sister Bertha Lang Schedule and Information Visitation Details There will be a visitation at Seven Dolors Catholic Church Friday evening from 4 to 8PM and again from 10AM until the time of the service Saturday morning once again at the church.
