Dolores Marion Callander

Age: 78 January 03, 1936 – April 09, 2014 Memorial services for Dolores M. Callander, 78, of Waite Park, will be held by her family at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at her home in Waite Park (50-6th Ave. S, Lot 31, TriCounty Mobile Home Park).  Burial at Camp Ripley will be private.  Dolores passed away Wednesday with her children at her side.Dolores was born on January 3, 1936 to  Paul and Francis (Florek) Chmielewski in Benton County.  She was raised with five siblings and graduated from the local high school.  On May 18, 1955 she married Harold Callander and they had two children.  Dolores lived in various locations throughout Central Minnesota. and worked many jobs.  She was a loan officer, a bookkeeper, and a real estate owner and broker.  Dolores and Harold enjoyed dancing together and she was an energetic person who loved to smile and share her positive outlook.  Dolores was a smart Christian woman who loved her church.  She was a member of St. John’s in Foley.Dolores is survived by her children Kevin Callander, Waite Park and Sandee Callander-Biddle, Waite Park; her siblings Roger Chmielewski, Janis (Kenneth) Skoda, Karen (Robert) Kake; her 2 grandchildren Nick (Jen) VonFelden and Christopher Callander; her 2 great grandchildren Kaylei VonFelden and Nicholas VonFelden, Jr.; as well as other family and friends.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Harold, who passed away on August 6, 2012; and her siblings Norbert Chmielewski and Marcyanna Chmielewski.
