Dorothy B. Ferguson

Age: 86 November 11, 1923 – November 08, 2010 Funeral services celebrating the life of Dorothy B. Ferguson, age 86 of Holdingford will be Friday, November 12, 2010 at 12:00 PM at the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.  Pastor Brad Pearson will officiate, and burial will take place in the Highland Cemetery following the service.  Dorothy peacefully died Monday morning at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany.  Friends may call from 11 until the time of the service at the funeral home on Friday.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.Dorothy was born on November 11, 1923 to Bernard and Anna (Knoll) Meier in Duluth, MN where she grew up.  She married Eugene Elmer Ferguson on January 7, 1944 in Ogden, Utah.  After Eugene’s time in the service, the couple moved to St. Paul where they lived until the early 1980’s when they retired to  Holdingford.  Dorothy operated her own Day Care for many years in both St. Paul and Holdingford. Dorothy has most recently resided at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home since 2005.  She was a member of the Holdingford Auxiliary, and also a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Albany.Dorothy is survived by her children Donald Gene (Pat) Ferguson, New Brighton; Carol Ann Wolosik, Florida; her 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Ken Meier, Louisiana.She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Eugene, and her brother Benjamin (Buck) Meier.
