Dorothy Mae (Mccormick) Matakis

Age: 87 October 25, 1930 – February 17, 2018 Dorothy Mae (McCormick)  Matakis, age 87, passed away at her home in St.Cloud, Minnesota on Saturday, February 17, 2018. She will be interred at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, MN with her husband Donald Matakis Sr.  Services will be private.  Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes. Dorothy was born in Faribault, Minnesota on October 25th, 1930 to Edward and  Lydia (Riemann) McCormick .  Dorothy married Donald Matakis on November 22, 1974. She attended Hamline University, St Paul, Minnesota and was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in St.Cloud, MN. Dorothy worked in the office at Fingerhut for several years.  Dorothy is survived by her brother, David (Catherine) McCormick, Lake City, MN. Her children: Donald (Kari Holmberg) Burger, Rock Creek, MN;  Nancy Fors, St. Cloud, MN; John (Janel) Burger, Farmington, MN; her step-children: Donald (Linda) Matakis Jr, Faribault; Stephanie (Kevin McBride) Mattock, Newport; Cheryl Matakis, Bothell, WA; Greg (Bhupinder) Matakis, Everett, WA; Michelle Matakis, Bellingham WA. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy is loved and remembered by her family and the many friends that were so dear to her. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Donald; sisters, Joan Westpfahl, Phyllis Nems, Patricia Fink; brothers, John McCormick, Lloyd McCormick, Don McCormick Schedule and Information Service Details Dorothy will be interred at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, MN with her husband Donald Matakis Sr. Services will be private.
