Dorothy Rose Sjobeck

Age: 82 May 29, 1931 – April 06, 2014 Services celebrating the life of Dorothy R. Sjobeck, age 82 of St. Cloud, will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 11th at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.  Burial will be in North Star Cemetery.  Dorothy died at her home in St. Cloud.  There will be a visitation from 4-7:00 PM Thursday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 10:00 AM Friday at the church.Dorothy was born May 29, 1931 in St. Cloud to William and Frieda (Schmidt) Lorinser.  She grew up in St. Cloud and married Norman Sjobeck on August 4, 1956 in Peace United Church of Christ.  The couple lived in St. Paul for a short while before returning to St. Cloud.  Dorothy was a homemaker and she was the Organist at Peace United Church for over 50 years.  She delivered Meals on Wheels for over 20 years and she volunteered at the Salvation Army and the St. Cloud Hospital.  She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.Dorothy is survived by her children, Mark (Vanessa) Sjobeck, Boise, ID and Mary (Brian) Libbesmeier, Waite Park;  her grandchildren, Collin, Alexandra, Mitchell, Zachery and Ashley.Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norm on September 21, 1996 and her infant brother Richard Lorinser.Prior to her death, Dorothy had requested that the following be written in her obituary.  “Thank You to all those who helped me stay in my home the last years of my life.” Schedule and Information Visitation Details There will be a visitation from 4-7:00 PM Thursday, April 10, 2014 and again after 10:00 AM Friday.
