Edward “Eddie” Katzner

Age: 67 March 21, 1950 – December 01, 2017 Services celebrating the life of Edward “Eddie” Katzner, age 67 of Albany, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 8th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albany. Burial will be held at Ebenezer Lutheran Cemetery in Albany immediately following services. Visitation will be held an hour prior to services, commencing at 10:00 a.m. at the Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albany. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home. Eddie was born to Frank and Ruth (Christen) Katzner on March 21, 1950. He grew up on and farmed the family farm in Albany. Eddie enjoyed planting crops as well as flowers. He enjoyed baking and sharing his treats, especially during the holidays. Eddie liked breakfast at the Truck Stop in Sauk Centre, Charlie’s Cafe, and he loved the chicken dinner at the Pelican Lake Ballroom. Church breakfasts were his favorite. Eddie passed peacefully while in the care of the wonderful staff of the CentraCare Paynesville Hospital. Eddie is survived by his many close friends, the Gill and Scherping families, and his dog, “Pups.” He is preceded in death by his parents. He is a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albany and the Good Samaritan Episcopal Church in Sauk Centre.
