Elizabeth “Betty” Gaida, age 80 of Holdingford passed away peacefully Tuesday February 1 ^st at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Mass of Christian burial celebrating her life will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 7 ^th at the Church of All Saints, St. Hedwig in Holdingford. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Holdingford and again after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the church in Holdingford. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery at a later date.

Betty was born June 8 ^th , 1941 in St. Cloud to Louis and Kathryn (Nohner-Schmit) Lezer. She grew up in St. Cloud and met the love of her life Peter “Pete” Gaida. They were married April 25 ^th , 1959. The couple moved to Holdingford in 1967. Betty worked in the plant at Columbia Gear for over 31 years. She was a member of the Church of All Saints, St. Hedwig and was a lifetime member of the Sauk Rapids VFW.

Betty is survived by her sons Bill Gaida, Sartell and Dave Gaida (Lois), Holdingford, son-in-law Neil Ebnet, Holdingford, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grand-children, sister Gloria (Don) Lenzen, St. Cloud, and brother Jerry (Carol) Schmit, Elk River.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Pete in 2010, daughter Joyce Ebnet in 2019, brothers Daniel Schmit, Dennis Schmit, William Schmit and sister Marlene Chirhart.
