Esther Preussler

Age: 92 December 10, 1916 – December 01, 2009 December 10, 1916 – December 1, 2009Services celebrating the life of Esther D. Preussler, age 92 of St. Cloud, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, December 3 at the First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud.  Esther died Monday at Montage Homes, Adult Foster Care, in St. Cloud.  Friends may gather after 9:00 AM Thursday at the Church.Esther was born December 10, 1916 in Cottonwood, MN to Christian and Martha (Schmidt) Tolzman.  She grew up in Minneapolis.  During WWII she worked for Northwest Airlines in Minneapolis.  She lived in Hackensack, MN until 1954 when she moved to Rochester then Colfax in 1973 and back to Hackensack in 1983.  Esther moved to St. Cloud 5 years ago.  Esther married Orville Woodruff in 1946.  He died in 1955.  Esther then married William Preussler in 1959, he died in 1984.  During her life, Esther held a variety of jobs to help support her family.Esther is survived by her sons, David (Wendi) Woodruff, Owatona and Orville (Linda) Woodruff, Rochester.  She is also survived by her sister, Bernice Thommas of Sauk Rapids, three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.Esther is preceded in death by her husband’s and six brothers and sisters.Arrangements by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud, MN.
