April 24, 1912 – November 17, 2009Funeral services, celebrating the life of Frances L. Trobec, age 97 of St. Stephen, will be 10:30 AM Monday, November 23 at the St. Stephen Catholic Church in St. Stephen. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Frances died Monday at the Country Manor Health Care and Retirement Center in Sartell. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Sunday evening and again after 9:30 AM Monday at the St. Stephen Parish Hall. St. Stephen parish prayers will be at 7:00 PM Sunday at the parish hall. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.Frances was born April 24, 1912 in St. Cloud to Mathias and Anna (Pawletta) Ziebol. She grew up in St. Cloud and attended St. Cloud Teachers College. Frances taught school in rural schools around the St. Stephen area where she met Anton (Tony) Trobec. The two were married on October 16, 1934 in St. Anthony=s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. They spent the rest of their married life in St. Stephen. Frances raised her three children and in 1938, she and Tony co-founded Trobec=s Bus Service. Frances drove a mini-bus and also was a substitute school teacher. She enjoyed traveling with Tony and loved music, especially hearing her grandchildren sing and watching them preform. Frances is a member of the St. Stephen Catholic Church and the St. Stephen Christian Mothers.Frances is survived by her children, Betty Jeanne Trobec, St. Stephen; Tom (Nettie) Trobec, St. Stephen and Emily Gohman, St. Cloud. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Pam Linton, Coon Rapids; Patty (Brittany) Linton, Nashville, TN; Peggy Farthing, Lavergne, TN; Penny Satre, Troutdale, OR; her great-grandchildren; Lydia Farthing, Abbie and Jack Satre and her half brothers and sisters, James (Jean) Ziebol, Mesa, AZ; Mary Ann (Peter) Hulth, Smithfield, SC; Virginia Lyon, Waite Park; Kay Schnobrich, Sartell; Betty Olson, St. Paul; Robert (Sharon) Siebol, Beloit, WI and Irene (Bill) Stearns, Piney Point, MD.She is preceded in death by her husband, Tony on August 24, 2003, her parents, her brothers Edmund Ziebol and Arthur Ziebol and her half-sisters, Margaret Hennek and Lois McKibben. Memorials are preferred to the County Manor Chapel.
