Memorial services celebrating the life of Gary Andrew Boman, age 63 of St. Cloud will be 10:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2013 at St. Mary’s Cathedral – Lower Church in St. Cloud. Father Jeremy Ploof will officiate. Gary died Wednesday at his home in St. Cloud. There will be a visitation from 4:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 9:30 AM Monday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 4pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.Gary was born on September 17, 1949 to Roy and Eva (Brownell) Boman in Brainerd, MN. He was an athlete throughout high school and college, and was the co-captain of the wrestling team at St. Cloud State. Gary married Martha “Marty” Lambrecht on August 21, 1976 and together they raised three children. He worked as a Lieutenant at the St. Cloud Reformatory for 27 years before retiring in 2004. Gary has spent the past 8 years as a Teacher’s Assistant in Bowling Green, KY. He loved sports, fishing, and sometimes just sitting on the dock throwing sticks for the dogs. Gary enjoyed his annual hiking treks in Colorado and traveling the world with Marty. He especially loved to be with his three grandbabies. He and his wife are members of St. Mary’s Cathedral in St. Cloud.Gary is survived by Marty Boman, his wife of 36 years; his children Timothy Boman, Stillwater; Amy (Jesse) Miller, Blaine; Jennifer (Justin) Humpal, Phoenix, AZ; his sister Diana Boman, St. Cloud; his grandchildren Morgan, Colton, and Logan Miller; and many friends.He is preceded by his parents Roy and Eva Boman.Memorials in lieu of flowers are preferred to the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center, the Kelly Autism Program, or the St. Cloud State Wrestling Program.
