Gerald “Jerry” Born

Age: 70 November 12, 1943 – November 18, 2013 Gerald “Jerry” Born of St. Cloud, passed away on November 18, 2013 at the St. Cloud VA Medical Hospital.  Funeral services will be 11:30AM Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.  Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, at 12:30PM Friday, November 22, 2013.  Visitation will be at 10AM Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service. Jerry was born November 12, 1943 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Kenneth and Helen (Mosholder) Born.  He attended high school in Roseville, Minnesota and served in the U.S. Army during the time of the Vietnam War.  Jerry married Mary Bill on August 18, 1973 in Minneapolis and later moved to the St. Cloud area.  Jerry had many passions in life including reading, racing, and cars but his biggest passion in life was his faith in Jesus Christ. Jerry is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Erica and Corey Bartz, Waite Park; granddaughters Ailee and Anika Bartz and his nieces and nephews Lori, Julie, and David Holm, Aimee Meyer, and Aron Raverty. He was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Born and Helen Carroll, stepfather James Carroll, and his sisters Donna Holm and Julianne Raverty.
