Geraldine Ellen Winkelman

Age: 79 August 25, 1934 – February 08, 2014 The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Geraldine E. Winkelman, age 79 of St. Cloud, will be 11:00 AM, Friday, February 14 at the Church of St. Anthony in St. Cloud.  Burial will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Foley.  Geraldine passed away peacefully at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud.  There will be a visitation from 4-7:00 PM Thursday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 10:00 Friday at the church.  St. Anthony parish prayers will be 6:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.Geraldine was born August 25, 1934  to John and Ellen (Grow) Winkelman on the farm in Glendorado Township   The family moved to Foley in 1947.  Geraldine attended Foley High School.  Geraldine worked for Opportunity Training Center and the Salvation Army.  She enjoyed family gatherings and the annual family Grow reunions.  Her 70th birthday party was held at  Wimbledon Green, it was a fun and happy celebration.  She was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church and the Handicap Club of Central Minnesota.Geraldine is survived by her brother, Charles (Mary Ann) Winkelman, St. Cloud; her sister-in-law, Shirley Winkelman, St. Cloud; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Harriett Zawacki, brother, Everett Winkelman,  and brother-in-law, Mark ZawackiWith sincere and grateful thanks to Talahi Care Center for the compassionate and loving care they provided Geraldine. Memorials are preferred to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Salvation Army and WACOSA.
