Ila June Swalboski Studer, 77, went home to Jesus on June 27, 2013. She lived a joyful and thankful life, including the last 29 months with lung cancer. She was born at home in Sauk Rapids, MN, on January 4, 1936, to parents, Herman and Lorraine Swalboski. If we could only share one thing about Ila June, it would be her infinite love for the Lord and her unfailing faith. She raised her children with that example of faith and taught them to have grateful hearts and happy souls. In December 1955, Ila June married Elphege (Al) Bieganek. During 12 years of marriage, they raised 4 children in Sauk Rapids, MN and created many fond memories of raising a family while living next to the Mississippi River. Wonderful neighbors made for many lasting friendships and grand memories. In August 1972, she married David Studer. In 10 years of marriage, they added one child to the family in Sauk Centre, MN. In addition, they operated 2 food establishments, mentored many great employees, and served great food.
Ila June also cherished her work with challenged adults and easily built friendships with many co-workers. She also worked in the hotel/hospitality industry and delivered medications to the homebound. You could always find Ila June with a smile on her face, a listening ear and a caring heart. Her family was priceless to her and she enjoyed any opportunity to spend time with them. Ila June was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and she loved telling others about them and their endeavors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Lorraine (Walker) Swalboski and her brother, Roger.
