Jamie Lynn Strand, a beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away naturally at home on December 16, 2024, in Hopkins, Minnesota, at 45 years of age. Born on May 26, 1979, in Somers Point, New Jersey, to Michael and Lonnie (Stanoch) Strand. Jamie’s journey through life was marked by her warmth, creativity, and dedication to those she loved.
She grew up in Eagan, MN and was a 1997 graduate of Burnsville High School, Jamie continued her education at Winona State, earning a bachelor’s degree in 2001. Her professional path led her to become a Sr Business Analyst for Optum, where she utilized her analytical skills and keen insights to make a difference in the workplace.
Despite her demanding career, Jamie maintained her passion for crafting and embraced the opportunity to work from home. This allowed her to immerse herself in the hobbies she fully enjoyed. Whether it was a handmade card or a thoughtful gift, Jamie found joy in pouring herself into her crafts, sharing her talent and love with everyone around her.
She is survived by her loving parents, Lonnie and Michael Strand, who treasured her kind heart and the light she brought into their lives. Jamie’s bond with her sister, Carrie, was one of the many threads woven into the fabric of her life, and Carrie’s fiancé, Chad Heinen along with his children Kailee and Nolan, welcomed Jamie into their lives with open arms.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ambrose and Leona Stanoch, and paternal grandparents, Howard and Marlene Strand, who surely greeted her with love and open hearts as she joined them.
Though Jamie’s time with us has come to an end, the warmth of her spirit will forever echo in the hearts she touched. As we gather to celebrate her life, we remember her laughter, her inspiration, and the love she shared unconditionally. She will be dearly missed, yet her legacy of kindness and creativity will carry on in the memories of those she leaves behind.
