Janave “Jan” M. Lommel

Age: 76 May 11, 1935 – November 07, 2011 The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Janave Lommel, age 76 of St. Cloud, will be 11:00 AM Friday, November 11at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  Burial will be in Assumption cemetery.  Jan died Monday at the St. Benedict’s care center after a lengthy illness.  There will be a visitation Thursday evening from 4-8:00 PM at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 10:00 AM Friday at the church.  St. Michael’s parish prayers will be at 5:00 PM followed by the Eagles Auxiliary at 5:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.Jan was born May 11, 1935 in Roseau, MN to Anton and Delphine (Kota) Moser.  She grew up in Roseau and attended school in Crookston.  She moved to St. Cloud to attended the St. Cloud School of Nursing.  Jan started her 38 year career as an RN at the St. Cloud hospital in 1957.  She married Wayne Lommel on June 13, 1959 in St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud.   Together they raised two boys, Mark and Paul Lommel.  Jan was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association and the Eagles Auxiliary.  Jan donated many hours of her time for the Deer Hunters Association and the Eagles Club.Jan is survived by her husband, Wayne Lommel, St. Cloud; her son, Paul Lommel, 4 grandchildren and her brothers and sisters; Doreen (Virgil) Sauve, Shoreview; Darield (Judy) Moser, Roseau; Dale (Kathy) Moser, Roseau; Ragene (Caroline) Moser, Roseau and Barbara (Kenny) Elmer, Luxemburg.She is preceded in death by her parents her brother Wilfred Moser and her son, Mark Lommel in 1985.
