Age: 89 February 26, 1921 – May 16, 2010 Jerome Theodore Alois Winkler Holdingford February 26, 1921-May 16, 2010Mass of Christian burial for Jerome T. Winkler, age 89, of Holdingford will be  Tuesday May 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford.  Father Gregory Ombak will officiate and burial will be in St Hedwig’s cemetery following the service.  Jerome died peacefully in his home Sunday.  Arrangements were made with the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home of Holdingford.Jerome was born February 26, 1921 in Holdingford to Victoria (Czech) and Jerome Winkler.  He grew up in Holdingford and graduated from St John’s University.  He married Jeanette Wrobel on June 18, 1949 in Holdingford.  He worked as a draftsman for Dairy Craft and Rimco until retiring in 1984.  Jerome was a member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, the Holdingford American Legion, and the VFW.Jerome is survived by his children Sue (Joe) Katzner, Rice; Janet Wiener, Sartell; Peggy (Larry) Kahnke, St Paul; Pat (Dan) Chvatal, Jordan; Mary (Don) Wentland, Holdingford; Jerry Winkler, Holdingford; Lynn (Marty) Palmersheim, St Joseph.  He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and six great grandchildrenHe is preceded by his wife Jeanette who died April 28, 2002.  He is also preceded by his brothers and sisters Dorothy Bessmer, Mark Winkler, Imelda Shields, Cecelia Winkler, and Cyril Winkler.
