John Mitchell Strong, 65 years old, passed away on June 13 ^th , 2021 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Born to Donald and Idylles Strong on November 23 ^rd , 1955, John grew up in Brainerd, MN, after which he lived primarily in Maple Grove, MN and St. Cloud, MN. Graduating from Brainerd High School with multiple athletic accomplishments as well as achieving Eagle Scout, John went on to attain a Masters Degree in Communications from the University of Minnesota. John’s life included many ups and downs with his health, but throughout it all, he was resilient and did his best to raise a wonderful family. He devoted himself to the success of those he loved most andwas vocal about being most proud of his sons, for whom he always, without fail, kept top of mind. John was loved deeply, and all who knew him can attest to the profound impact he left upon them forever.

John is preceded in death by his father and mother, Donald Strong and Idylles (Breitner) Hamilton. John is survived by his sons Christopher (Emily) of Chanhassen, Jonathon of Ramsey, and Kyle (Roxanne) of Mora; grandchildren Abigail, Isabelle, Kaylee, and Hunter; brother David, and sisters Connie, Jeannie, and Pamela; many nieces and nephews. A private celebration of John’s life is being held by his family.
