Kathleen T. Ostendorf

Age: 77 August 07, 1934 – August 01, 2012 Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Kathleen Theresa Ostendorf, age 77 of St. Cloud will be 11 AM, Saturday August 4, 2012 at the Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in St. Cloud.  Father Tom Knoblach will officiate and a private family burial will take place Monday morning at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.  Kathleen died peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital Wednesday evening surrounded by family.  There will be a visitation starting at 9:30AM Saturday morning at the church.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.Kathleen was born August 7th, 1934 to Carl and Eleanor (Sauer) Sauerer in Collegeville.  She married Herb Ostendorf on November 13th, 1956 at St John’s Abby Catholic Church.  She was a lifetime resident of St. Cloud where she worked as a home-maker and loving mother of six children.  She was a member of Christian Mothers and Holy Spirit Catholic Church of St. CloudShe is survived by her children Darrell (Lori) Ostendorf, Sartell; Cheryl (Mike) Waseka, Sartell; Gary (Cheryl) Ostendorf, St. Cloud; Patti (Paul) Peterson, Rochester, MN; Dean Ostendorf, St. Cloud; Todd (Melissa) Ostendorf, Clearwater; her 13 grandchildren , 3 great- grandchildren; and her siblings Roger (Othelia) Sauerer, Inver Grove Heights; and Jerome (MaryAnn) Sauerer, Winona.She is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Eleanor Sauerer, her husband Herb Ostendorf who passed in 2010, and her siblings Celine Norman, Roman Sauerer, Leo Sauerer, Charlie Sauerer, Melvin Sauerer, and Elmer Sauerer.The family would like to thank Dr. Jeffrey Kowitz and Dr. Julie Anderson for their years of care. We would like to thank the staff of Country Manor for the care and comfort they provided to Kathy.  We would also like to thank the staff at St. Cloud Hospital especially the ICU teams and pulmonary ward teams for their excellent final hours care.
