Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Lorraine B. Kroska, age 81, of Holdingford will be 11:00 AM Friday, July 9, 2010 at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in Holdingford. Father Mark Stang will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service. Friends may call from 4 – 8:30 on Thursday, July 8 at the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford and again at 10:00 AM Friday at the church in Holdingford. Parish prayers will be at 5:30 PM followed by the Christian Mothers and Rosary Sodality at 7:30 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Holdingford. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.Lorraine was born October 15, 1928 in St. Anthony to Mary (Stueve) and Albert Ostendorf. She married Raymond Kroska on November 5, 1946 in St. Anthony. The couple lived in Holdingford after marriage. Lorraine was a homemaker while raising her children and then a housekeeper for many organizations after they were grown. She was also a foster grandparent for the Holdingford elementary. Lorraine lived at Country Manor since 2000 where she blessed many people with her crocheted items. Lorraine was a member of the St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church where she was an active member of Christian Mothers, the Rosary Sodality, and the church choir. She was also a member of the Country Manor Church Choir.Lorraine is survived by her daughters Marlene Kroska, Holdingford; Jeanne (Kirk) Kedrowski, Sauk Rapids; and her brothers and sisters Evelyn Mohs, Waite Park; Rita Lomheim, Avon; Herbert Ostendorf, St. Cloud; Ervin Ostendorf, Waite Park; Raymond Ostendorf, Kandiohi; Jerry Ostendorf, Wilmar; Edward Ostendorf, Sartell; Roger Ostendorf, St. Cloud; Eugene Ostendorf, Holdingford; and Werner Ostendorf, Freeport. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond who passed away on January 20, 2006; and her brothers and sisters Walter Ostendorf, Anthony Ostendorf, Helen Ebensteiner, Mildred Gillitzer, and an infant brother.
