Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Marcella D. Lemke, age 81 of Albany will be 11 AM Monday, June 27, 2011 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Father Blane Wasnie O.S.B. will officiate, and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service. Marcy died peacefully in her home Thursday morning surrounded by her family. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Albany and again from 10 AM until the time of the service Monday at the Church. Parish prayers will be held at 4:30 PM Sunday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home of Albany.Marcella was born September 27, 1929 to Joseph and Anna (Winskowski) Scepaniak in Holdingford. She lived in the Holdingford area until she married Harvey Lemke on September 25, 1948. The couple lived in St. Paul until moving back to Albany in 1958. Marcy was a lady of all trades. Besides being a loving mother and home-maker, she worked for Mother of Mercy Nursing Home, Hanauer Machine Works, and also volunteered at the Mother Seton Store. She was a Christian Mother for many years and also a member of Seven Dolors Catholic Church of Albany.Marcella is survived by her children, Ken Lemke (Tammy Holland), Avon; Kathy (Michael) Linn, Richmond; Shirley (Gene) Linn, Albany; Judy (Terry) Krebs, Albany; Lori (Dave) Grabmeier, Albany; Sheila (Al) Schlangen, Richmond; her brothers Jim (Marlene) Scepaniak, Upsala; Dan Scepaniak, Cold Spring; her 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.She is preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Joseph Scepaniak, her husband Harvey Lemke who passed away in 2001, and her siblings Mary Hilke, William Scepaniak, Clemens Scepaniak, Sylvester Scepaniak, Eleanor Scepaniak, Louis Scepaniak, Clarence Scepaniak, Lucy Schueler, Anthony Scepaniak, Dorothy Johnston, and Adeline Rivard.
