Marian Kuper

Age: 98 June 08, 1919 – September 07, 2017 The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Marian Kuper, age 98 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 23 at the Church of Seven Dolors in Albany.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Marian died at the St. Benedicts Senior Community in St. Cloud.  There will be a visitation after 10:00 AM, Saturday at the church.  Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Homes. Marian was born June 8, 1919 to Martin and Antonia (Nier) Jesh in Albany.  She attended parochial and high school in Albany.  In 1942, she went to St. Paul and was employed in the chemical lab at Federal Cartridge during WWII.  Later she worked as a dental assistant.  She married Thomas Tomsky in 1943 and he died in 1958.  After returning to Albany, she was employed in various establishments and worked at the elementary and Jr. High school for seven years.  She married Erwin Kuper on November 27, 1976.  She was a member the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, the Christian Mothers, the St. Ann’s Society, and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. Marian is survived by her son, Jim Tomsky, Princeton; her grandsons, Aaron Kuper and Nick Kuper, three great-granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Thomas and Erwin, her sisters, Rose Hofmann, Ursila Backes, Hildegard Farmon, Angela Jesh; brothers, Roman Jesh, Othmar Jesh, Andrew Jesh, Carlos Jesh and Ralph Jesh.  She is also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Karen Tomsky.
