Marvin H. Poepping

Age: 64 April 27, 1946 – February 13, 2011 Mass of Christian burial celebrating the life of Marvin H. Poepping, age 64 of New Munich will be 10:30 AM, Monday February 14, 2011 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich.  Father Todd Schneider will officiate, and burial will take place in the parish cemetery following the service.  Marvin died peacefully in his home early Thursday morning surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer.  Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Immaculate Conception and again after 9:30AM the day of the service.  Parish prayers will be at 5PM on Sunday evening at the church.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Albany.Marvin was born April 27, 1946 in Raymond, MN to Joseph and Mildred (Evens) Poepping.  He grew up on a farm in New Munich and has lived in the Stearns County area his entire life.  He married Clarice “Carrie” Barhorst Wiegers Poepping on June 15, 1988 in Long Prairie.  Marvin worked as a self employed owner operator truck driver.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich.Marvin is survived by his wife Carrie Barhorst Wiegers Poepping, New Munich; his children Brenda (Tony) Polipnick, Milaca; Kyle (Sam) Poepping, Watkins; his parents Joseph and Mildred Poepping, New Munich; his siblings Darleen Bushman, Albany; Allen Poepping, New Munich; LeRoy Poepping, Milaca; Eugene (Amy) Poepping, Sauk Centre; his mother-in-law Bertha Barhorst; his four grandchildren Jeremy, Brandon, Amanda and Emily Polipnick and one great-grandchild, Natalie Polipnick.He is preceded in death by is brother Wilfred “Butch” Poepping, and his grandparents Henry and Ida Poepping, and Joseph and Rose Evens.
