Age: 41 February 24, 1969 – July 02, 2010 MARY JO ANN SCHMIDT February 24, 1969 – July 2, 2010Services celebrating the life of Mary Jo Ann Schmidt, age 41 of Long Prairie, will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 6 at the St. Francis Catholic Church in St. Francis.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Mary Jo peacefully passed away Friday, July 2, at the St. Cloud Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends.  Friends may call from 4-8:00 PM Monday at the Miller-Carlin- Brenny Funeral Home in Albany and again after 10:00 AM Tuesday at the church.  St. Francis parish prayers will be at 6:30 PM, Monday at the funeral home in Albany.Mary Jo was born to Lawrence and Rosemary (Stangler) Schmidt on February 24, 1969.  She was a 1987 Graduate of Melrose High School.  She married James Gruenes August 1, 1987, they later divorced.  Mary Jo enjoyed playing cards, fishing, and spending time with family.  She touched many lives and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.She is survived by her children, Timothy (Lorraine) Gruenes, Grand Forks, ND; Stephanie (Karl) Zeimetz, Lawton, OK; Elizabeth Gruenes, Sartell and Nicholas Gruenes, Sartell.  She is also survived by her grandsons, Karl and Klayton Ziemetz and Kevin Gruenes; brother and sister, Michael (Denise) Schmidt, Melrose and Karen Linn (Dale Boppre), Cohasset; and five nieces and nephews.  Mary Jo also leaves behind her fiancé Wallace John Brever, Long Prairie.She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister.
