May Marie Newman

Age: 74 September 15, 1942 – February 13, 2017 Services for May M. Newman, 74, Richmond, will be private.  She passed away on February 13, 2017 surrounded by her family.  May was born on September 15, 1942 to George and Ruth (Bloom) Hitzler in Camp Douglas, WI.  She grew up and graduated from the local high school.  On November 17, 1962, she married LeRoy Newman in St. Cloud and together they raised four daughters.  May enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. May is survived by her daughters Dawn Newman, Milaca; Donna (Linus Hemmesch) Gothier, Cold Spring; DeAnn (Jerry) Torborg, Richmond; Debbie (Tony Waldron) Newman, Cold Spring; grandchildren Rick (Jayme), Russell (Lauren), and Riley (Courtney); Matthew and Mitchell; Aaron (Amber Eickhoff); Brady, Kendra, and Keaton; great grandchildren Jackson, Mason, and Madison; siblings George (Mary) Hitzler, Heidi (Jeff) Madden, Tim (Alicia) Hitzler; brother-in-law George (Audrey) Newman; and sister-in-law Irene Newman. May is preceded in death by her husband LeRoy “Butch” Newman in 2004, her parents, grandson Christopher Gothier, brothers-in-law Myron and James Newman.
