Odell H. Hoffarth

Age: 90 January 07, 1923 – August 19, 2013 Funeral services celebrating the life of Odell Henry Hoffarth, age 90 of St. Cloud will take place at 10AM Saturday, August 24, 2013 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Chapel in St. Cloud.  Bernadine Wesenberg will officiate, and burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery following the service.  Odell died at the VA Hospital in St. Cloud on Monday morning.  There will be a gathering time prior to the service Saturday morning at the funeral home from 9-10AM.  Arrangements are being made with the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of St. Cloud.Odell was born January 7th 1923 to Marie (Chevalier) and Henry Hoffarth in St. Cloud.  After graduating High School, he attended Dunwoody where he attained a degree in Drafting.  He lived his life in St. Cloud and Minneapolis where he worked as a draftsman.  As a draftsman, Odell held two industrial patents.  He most recently worked for Possis Engineering before retiring in 1985.  Odell married Vivian Wesenberg on December 2nd 1945 in Sauk Rapids.  After Vivian’s death, he then married Evelyn Eisenschenk in 1991.  Odell was a past member of St. Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, a member of DAV Post 9, and a member of the American Legion Post 428.Odell is survived by his children Larry Hoffarth, Denver, CO; Thomas (Nancy) Hoffarth, Venice, FL; Judith (Waldo) Moberg, Ramsey, MN; and Stephen Hoffarth, Fergus Falls, MN; his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his siblings Arthur (Jan) Hoffarth, Waite Park; Raymond (Ida) Hoffarth, Waite Park; Romaine Hoffarth, Avon; Marlene (Jim) Larson, Coon Rapids; and Lorraine (Clayton) Speiser, Sioux Falls, SD; and his six step children, 20 step-grandchildren, and 11 step-great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Marie Hoffarth, his wife Vivian Hoffarth who passed on January 27, 1991, his second wife Evelyn Hoffarth who passed on November 25, 2009, and his sisters Henrietta Stickney, and Beatrice Graves.
