ZenzenSt. CloudAugust 25, 1923 – December 24, 2009Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Oswald “Ozzie” Zenzen, age 86 of St. Cloud, will be 10:00 AM Thursday, December 31, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.  Ozzie died Thursday at St. Benedicts Senior Community.  There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Wednesday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud and again after 9:00 AM Thursday at the church.  Pallbearers will be the grandchildren, Christa, Jenessa, Becky, Brian and Megan.  St. Anthony parish prayers will be at 5:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.Ozzie was born August 25, 1923 in Albany to Anton and Julia (Silbernick) Zenzen.  He grew up in Albany and married Rita Zeis on October 23, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford.  The couple moved to St. Cloud where Ozzie worked at Franklin Manufacturing on the assembly line for 42 years.  He retired in 1987.  Ozzie liked to work in the garage doing wood working and making lawn ornaments.  He had a special gift of training squirrels to retrieve peanuts from his hand in the doorway to the house.  Many birds benefitted from his commitment to keeping them well fed.  Ozzie was a hard working man that set an example for us all.  He showed us the most important things in life are simple things.  Family and faith guided his path through life.  We loved him dearly and he will be deeply missed. Ozzie was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.Ozzie is survived by his wife, Rita, St. Cloud; his children, Gary (Jan) Zenzen, Blaine; Ronald Zenzen, St. Cloud and Sharon (Kirk) Thompson, St. Cloud.  He is also survived by his brother and sister, Gerald (Lorraine) Zenzen and Jenny Wenning, Albany; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
