Richard “Rick” Wesley Swenson, Jr.

Age: 60 July 17, 1951 – July 14, 2012 Graveside services celebrating the life of Richard “Rick” Wesley Swenson, Jr., age 60, will be 9:00 AM, Thursday, July 19, at North Star Cemetery in St. Cloud.  Pastor William Meier will officiate.  Burial will follow immediately.  Rick passed away Saturday afternoon at the St. Cloud Hospital.  Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud.Rick was born July 17, 1951 in Fort McPherson, Georgia to Brigadier General Richard Wesley Swenson (retired) and Doris (Taeckens) Swenson.  He was raised with his sisters Jill, Debra, and Terry.  After graduating high school, Rick completed four more years of school and moved around until settling in St. Cloud in 1994.  He lived the last 18 years in the Waite Park/Saint Cloud area.  His gentle nature and unconditional love for all will live on in our hearts.  His larger-than-life presence will be sorely missed by all whose lives he touched. Rick is survived by his sisters, Jill Cremer, Mission Viejo, CA; Debra (Paul) Leach, Lakewood, CO; and Terry (Jeff) Blair, Adairsville, GA; his nieces and nephews Justin and Brandon Cremer; Brian, Dennis, and Richard Leach; Dana Bradford, Michelle and Scott Blair; as well as his many friends.He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Wesley Swenson and Doris (Taeckens) Swenson.
