Robert “Bob” P. Bautch

Age: 81 April 25, 1933 – May 10, 2014 The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Robert “Bob” Bautch, age 81, of St. Cloud, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 15th at St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Luxemburg.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Robert died Saturday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud.  There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Wednesday and again after 10:00 AM Thursday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. St. Wendelin’s parish prayers will be at 5:30 PM Wednesday followed by the Knights of Columbus praying at 6:30PM at the funeral home.Robert was born April 25, 1933, in St. Cloud to John and Monica (Zabinski) Bautch.  He grew up on a dairy farm and graduated from Cathedral High School.  He married Neomi Michalski on May 30, 1960, in St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Duelm, MN.  In 1969, he and his wife moved to the Luxemburg area and continued dairy farming.  Robert began a well-deserved retirement in 1998.  While retired, he developed a passion for woodcarving, gardening, and selling sweet corn at the end of his driveway on Highway 15.   He was a member of St. Wendelin’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 961.Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Neomi Bautch, St. Cloud; children, Sue (Jeff) Oldakowski, Sauk Rapids; Ronald Bautch, St. Cloud; Phillip (Robin) Bautch, St. Cloud; Joyce A. Bautch, Ph.D., Fond du Lac, WI; and Jayne Bautch, St. Cloud.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan and Jill Oldakowski; and Jenna, Jaclyn and Melissa Bautch and his sister, Betty LaBuda, Waite Park.Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Dorothy Tresko, Jack, Wilfred and Peter Bautch.
