Age: 86 April 12, 1923 – January 12, 2010 STELLA M . HEITZMAN April 12, 1923 – January 12, 2010 The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Stella Heitzman, age 86 of Holdingford, will be 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford.  Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Stella died Tuesday evening at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family.  There will be a visitation from 4-9:00 PM Friday and again after 10:00 AM Saturday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.  The St. Mary’s Christian Mothers will pray at 5:00 PM followed by St. Mary’s parish prayers at 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home in Holdingford. Stella was born April 12, 1923 in Brockway Township to Thomas and Victoria (Grebinoski) Broda.  She married Alois Lichy on September 30, 1941.  He died on July 6, 1946.  Stella married Ervin Heitzman on November 4, 1947 in Opole.  The couple farmed together and Stella was a homemaker.  She was also the housekeeper for many years at the St. Mary’s Church rectory and she catered weddings with her sister-in-law.  Stella was known for her good cooking, her homemade jelly and her love of canning.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she had a wonderful sense of humor that will be missed.   She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford and the St. Mary’s Christian Mothers.. Stella is survived by her children, Mary Jane (Walter) Fussy, Bowlus; Judith Ann (Paul) Yorek, Sauk Rapids and Leonard (Judy) Heitzman, Avon.  She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Stella is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ervin in 1992, and her brothers and sisters, Joseph Broda, Anthony Broda, Louis Broda and Lucille Cekalla.
