Stephen (Steva) Kociemba

Age: 71 December 20, 1938 – January 16, 2010 STEPHEN (STEVA) KOCIEMBA December 20, 1938 – January 16, 2010  The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Stephen (Steva)  Kociemba, age 71 of St. Anna, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Anna. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.  Stephen died Saturday at his home after a long battle with cancer.  Friends may call from 4-9:00 PM Wednesday and again after 9:00 AM Thursday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.  The Catholic Order of Foresters will pray at 6 followed by Immaculate Conception parish prayers at 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home in Holdingford. Stephen was born December 20, 1938 in Avon to Valentine and Mary (Dobis) Kociemba.  He spent his entire life in the St. Anna area.  He married Louise Varhalla on August 22, 1970 in Holdingford. Stephen worked for Franklin Manufacturing and the Pelican Lake Ball Room before becoming a full time farmer on his home place.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Stephen is survived by his wife, Louise, St. Anna; brothers and sisters, Alois (Hilda) Kociemba, St. Anna; Mark Kociemba, St. Anna; Marcella Fossen, Richfield; Bernadette Kociemba, Torrance, CA; his brother-in-law, Cyril (June) Kuklok, Opole and many nieces and nephews.  Stephen is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Bridget Kuklok; sister and brother in law, Pauline and Bill Evens, brother-in-law, Jerry Fossen and sister-in-law, Rose Marie Kociemba Schedule and Information Visitation Details Friends may call from 4-9:00 PM Wednesday and again after 9:00 AM Thursday at the Miller-Carlin-Brenny Funeral Home in Holdingford.
