William ‘Billy’ Johnson

Age: 47 August 3, 1971 – December 31, 2018 Billy was born in Thief River Falls, MN on August 3, 1971, the youngest child of Duane and Martha Johnson.  He graduated from Staples – Motley High School in1989 went on to attended college for Aviation Mechanics in Thief River Falls.  He started working for BNSF Railway in May of 1994.  He loved his job, especially driving low-boy across country and enjoyed his railroad family and the many friends he made.  Billy loved vacationing in Mexico and the Caribbean.    Bill is survived by his mother Martha Holsapple of Staples, son Isaiah Erbe of Motley, daughters Lanaiah Erbe of Motley, Ava Johnson of Duluth, step son Aadi Hand of Duluth , brothers, Lyndon (Linda) Johnson of Motley, Lyle (Lori) Johnson of Nisswa, sisters, Aletha (LeRoy) Flickinger of Motley, Linette (Tom) Horn of Dresser, WI, two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Duane Johnson, step-father Carl Holsapple, grandparents Clifford and Greta Johnson, and Art and Maude Sorter.
