William Harold Benson

Age: 77 June 30, 1934 – June 28, 2012 Services celebrating the life of William Harold Benson, age 77, of Big Fork, MN will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Grace English Lutheran Church in Marble, MN.  Pastor Dave Petrich will officiate.  Friends and family may call on Saturday after 12:00 PM at the church.  Graveside Services will take place at 6:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale, MN.William H. (Bill “Puffer”) Benson passed away at Evergreen Terrace Care Center in Grand Rapids, MN on June 28, 2012.  He was 77 years old.  Bill is preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Esther (Danielson) Benson; brothers, David, Alton, Dilner and Jim and foster daughter, Deanna Stevens.Bill was the owner and operator of Bill’s Shoe Repair in Delano, MN for 28 years.  He married Eunice Ackley in October of 1965.  The couple moved to Rockford in 1972.  In 2001, Bill retired and they moved to Big Fork, MN.  He enjoyed snowmobiling, wood carving and fishing.  Bill was a member of Grace English Lutheran Church in Marble, MN.He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Eunice Benson; son David (Linda) Benson; sisters, Katie and Sylvia, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
